The Bridges offers 83 emergency sheltering beds. The third floor provides 56 beds for overnight stays. The first floor has 27 mats which can be used to accommodate individuals should the number seeking an overnight stay exceed the number of available beds. The second floor consists of 20 Supportive Housing bachelor units.

We focus on helping individuals experiencing homelessness to make positive changes in their lives. Support is provided through our daily drop-in programs. Delivered using the wraparound model, our supports include meals, overnight accommodations, group activities, and a chaplaincy program among others.

Every fall, friends of Cambridge Shelter Corporation gather on a scenic golf course in support of individuals experiencing homelessness.  Our 2025 Fall Classic returns to the Galt Country Club, an exclusive members-only golf course that runs along the Grand River. Join us for a day of friendly competition, all in support of ending homelessness in Waterloo Region.

Our dedicated team of regular and part-time volunteers work alongside our staff to help individuals who are experiencing homelessness. Volunteers participate in most areas of our organization from helping with meal prep to creating and hosting successful events. Cambridge Shelter Corporation grew from the Out of the Cold program that was operated in seven churches in Cambridge during the winter months from 1998 to 2005. Thanks to the helping hands of our caring community we are able to a full range of services and supports.

Our mission is to provide safe shelter, and to offer programs and services in support of the hopes and needs of people dealing with life issues.
