Get Involved

We invite you to do what you can!

Here are some ideas:

  • Donate – Cambridge Shelter depends on both financial donations and gifts in kind. Monetary donations are made through CanadaHelps and help to facilitate activities, services and programs vital to those experiencing homelessness.

  • Volunteer – Volunteers are the lifeblood of Cambridge Shelter Corporation by helping us provide essential services to individuals and families experiencing homelessness.  Find out more about volunteering below.

  • Third-Party Fundraiser -  Want to run your own third-party fundraiser?  Information on running fundraisers is available in our Third Party Fundraiser toolkit below.

  • Gifts in Kind - Gifts of goods and services in lieu of monetary donations. Contact us for more details.

Volunteer

Thank you for your interest in Volunteering with us!

Cambridge Shelter Corporation values the participation of volunteers in accomplishing its mission and providing its programs and services. Volunteers bring unique talents and gifts that offer hope and encouragement in a compassionate, caring manner. We recognize that Cambridge Shelter Corporation could not provide its services and programming without volunteers. We are very fortunate to have a committed core of community volunteers who contribute to providing safe shelter and offering programs and services in support of the hopes and needs of people dealing with challenging life circumstances.

We strive to provide a fun and enriching experience for our volunteers in a safe, positive, team-oriented environment.

Ways to be involved:

  • Assisting with Meals

  • Fundraising Events

  • Share a Skill  (art, music, crafts, entertainment, meditation, socializing through board games, cards, discussion, etc.)

  • Volunteering as a group – Whether you are a group that is faith-based, from a business, students, family or friends, we welcome your help and donation of time.
